A camping we will go

The second week of school was a four day week, thanks to having fair day Friday with no school. Ricky was sneaky and planned us a fun overnight trip. Thanks to Aunt Jan and Uncle Derek for letting us use their camper. We packed a light overnight bag and the kids bikes along with a cooler of food. The kids have never been camping before and we didn't tell them where we were going until we were all packed and ready to go.

Kids found a turtle shell

Caleb complete with his typical bruises and scrapes

We tried to get a picture of the two of us, which resulted in lots of horrible pictures and momma clearly losing her mind :)

Camping turned out to be a fun, cheap way to get away for a day and we will for sure be doing it again soon. The kids instantly were drawn to the bunk beds in the back bedroom (they were open beds with nothing to hold in kids who tend to fall out of bed) I was not about to let them sleep there. They were distraught. That is until I told them about the secret spy bed that was hidden in the camper. :)  That got their attention quick and so they slept on the hide-a-bed that night.

PUMA Camper!

The camper had a picture of a cougar on it and Caleb said it was a Puma. (thanks to Diego he talks about Pumas all the time). He saw this little box outside and he told us all that the pumas were kept in that part. He is so funny.

See, this is where they keep the Pumas!

We got a good workout while we were there. The kids rode their bikes all over the camp trails and so Ricky and I walked/jogged along with them. It was a fun little trip and we plan on doing it again :)
Aunt Jan, huge thanks for the use of the camper...oh and just a word of warning: watch out for the puma cage!
