The week before Halloween we surprised the kids after a long hard day of House work by taking them on a trip to the campground for their big annual Halloween Spooktacular event. They had a blast!

| ONE TOUGH MAN |
Caleb was an army man this year, complete with his weapons arsenal.
Laney was a little cute witch - she wasn't completely happy about her costume. We got the costume after Halloween last year on clearance for less than $5. And at the time she loved it. But the new wore off and she didn't want to wear the costume.
Tough parenting time - yes we made her wear it. And guess what?
By the time she had her entire ensemble on and I agreed to paint some spider webs on her face, she LOVED it!
We got to meet up with Bessie Bug, and Elijah James (aka custest Captain America ever) and Uncle James and Aunt Lydia for a really enjoyable laid back evening - very welcoming after all this house work.

We took the kids all out trick or treating and Caleb even ran across his girlfriend Lillian at the campground. He has been smitten with this little blonde since he met her back early in the summer and is very loyal to her. He says she is his girlfriend and will not even consider anyone else but her. Too cute!

| Seriously look at his SMILE! |
We trick or treated until
our old legs their little legs had enough. Then we headed back to Aunt Lydia's for some delicious soup that was perfect with the cool weather along with hot dogs and smores. It was such an enjoyable evening and gave us a break from all the work as well as gave us a little quick fix for our forlorness over not getting to go camping this fall.
On Halloween itself I was a little under the weather but we managed to go to our little neighbors across the road who always fixes the kids a big bag for Halloween and we went to the Pierce family annual Halloweenie Roast. Thank the Lord they moved things indoors since Halloween was freezing. We had a good time visiting with friends and family and letting the kids enjoy being kids on this fun day.
