Laney has been learning about transportation at school and so one day she came home telling us all about ferry boats. So we said the next nice day we had free we knew we wanted to take them on a ferry boat ride. Last weekend we took a little trip and did just that.

The kids loved riding the ferry boat and then we followed it up with a picnic lunch on the river. It was such a great day to be outside.

(Side note: the ferry boat ride cost was 75 cents a day for as many rides across as you wanted. And we packed the picnic from home, so this was a nice, cheapo trip.)
