Christmas with the K's

Christmas with the K's was at Mom's house this year. We had a good time as always and this year we got a nice experience that the cousins shared. Wish our Wallace family could have made it but traveling is tough at the holidays when you live so far. Maybe next year.

Anyway, after the food had been eaten and we had played a couple fabulous rounds of dirty santa the cousins (just the six of us) decided to pack up and go and pay our Memaw a visit. I will admit we were all a little unsure on the way to see my Memaw. She is in a nursing home about 15 minutes away and the last few visits her dementia has had her in not the best of spirits so we weren't sure if she  would be up to the company or not.
We all ended up so thrilled that we went because she was having a marvelous day and we had a wonderful visit with her. She reminisced with all of us about things from when we were little and she joked around with us too. I haven't seen her in such good spirits in a long time. It was a really nice surprise for a good day. It was really enjoyable for the cousins to get to spend this time with our Memaw. God blessed us with that time, no doubt and I will always enjoy the memory of that day!
