A blessing we are so grateful for

Somehow time flies by and then a stage of life is nearly over and you realize you will never go back to that time again. This sweet lady has been "babysitter" to our kids and "Friend" to me for over 6 years now. She kept Laney 2 days a week from the time she was about 18 months old until she went to school. Then when Caleb was born, she kept him two days a week as well. Since I opted not to send Caleb to pre-school, he has spent 5 years with "Mrs. Angie".

Now, summer is here and at the end of the summer our little guy will start Kindergarten. He will still get to spend the occasional day with Mrs. Angie much like Laney still does, but our typical routine will have changed. I just wanted to kind of note here how much she has meant to us.

It was really hard to leave my babies and go to work (especially in those early days). This kind hearted lady made me feel so much better. Her loving, compassionate ways and her natural abilities with kids helped lighten my heart during those early years.
Caleb took her these roses we grew as a "thank you for taking care of me" gift.
It seems like she has a 6th sense and just knows when I am particularly missing them and she will send me text photos of the kids or just let me know something they said. I never knew a moments worry when they have been in her care. She was a true gift God granted for us. I can never thank her enough for the peace of mind she has given me all these years.

Our "babysitter" has become such a part of our weekly routine and such a normal part of our lives that it will seem strange not driving out to her house each week. But, it will be such a joy when the kids get to go back and visit with her and her kiddos. Until then, we thank you , MRS ANGIE, you have been so good to us!
