Random Summer Round up

Allright! Here I am! At long long last. Yes - it has been crazy busy here. But useless excuses of business aside - I've had alot of technical roadblocks. About 6 months ago our desktop began refusing to connect to the internet. Nothing against old Desky - he's been around for nearly 10 years. I don't blame him for beginning to say no to some areas he feels are no longer worth his effort. But - that also led to him being deemed as "clutter" seeing as how he was not as useful as Lappy the Laptop. So I began using Lappy more and more. Desky then got turned off and has been setting upstairs untouched for months. Lappy became my main go to. Lappy and I get along great. He's been around since 2006 - ishly. Well - I guess the young buck couldn't hold up to all the pressure thrown upon him. And in the last two months he has begun to flounder as well. To top that off our External Hard-drive where I have all my photos has a short in the chord. There is no excuse for this as she is only about 16 months old.

All that to say it is like my devices have been plotting against me and making it near impossible to blog. Today- however- I borrowed a base off my co-workers identical hard drive and her power chords and alas I am on my Mac at work and actually blogging! SHOCK AND AWE!

Desky met his demise over the weekend. We have been cleaning our house of all clutter and non essential items. We had a massive yard sale and thrift store donation. Why you ask - well that will be part of our upcoming news in a future post. Big changes ahead!! And Desky actually landed in the dump.

Lappy is not far behind him and soon we shall add a new piece or two of confusing computer technology that I am sure I will not be able to use. But - my ever tech loving husband will surely find me a long boring nap inducing wonderful video to watch on how to operate it. Hopefully it will make keeping up my blogging and photo journaling that much easier once all these transitions are in place.

So now for the catch up! I have a few thousand photos waiting to get posted but I will try my best to narrow them down a bit. In the next few weeks it is my goal to get our summer events posted up through the kids starting school. Then I will probably take a hiatus until some big changes are made in our family and hopefully by the holidays I will be back up and running and organized :) Ahhhh yes!

This girl has become such a reader. She really enjoys it and just devours a new book when she gets one. I am so glad she is learning about this wonderful place! I love to get lost in a good book too!
