House renovating - not for the faint of heart

Full blown renovation mode is happening now! There are more projects going on than I can even begin to tell you about. Most of the work falls on the shoulders of my very own "jack of all trades" (and master of most, contrary to the way that saying usually goes) husband. He is very good at this renovating business, and seems to know how to fix every bump in the road we come to. Bumps? Oh yes - there are already multiple bumps popping up. Thats just part of it, we learned last go around in this house remodeling business.

Typically you will see Ricky or the kids in the pictures of the house progress, as I am usually behind the camera, however Laney got excited about what my project was and took over as official picture taker :)

Presenting ... The Glamour of Home Renovation

Thats just me digging out the drain to the gutters in the front yard. Ricky found they were extremely blocked and he knew we were expecting alot of rain. So, we quickly got to work digging them out. Basically reaching up into a black hole full of 40+ years of leaves, roots, dirt, and who knows what else. Did I mention it was cold that day? Of course it was!  But hey, we managed to get the gutters and drains all across the front of the house fixed on our own and all of the back ones are fixed except one who is going to need a little more work on it. Yeah, isn't that what you think about when you think about remodeling a house? Gutter work! FUN! ( insert haha here. )

But it's an exciting time in our lives regardless of the bumps and dirt and grime  :)
