First and Third Graders

Hello from the land of the living...aka known as the land of the chauffeur. School is back in full swing and we are busy with thriving schedules that are abundantly more than half full.

Laney is a big third grade girl and has moved into the middle school here. She is in class with all of her friends and is really liking the new school.

Caleb is in first grade. He's in elementary school alone this year since big sister has moved on to the big kid school. He has the same teacher for first grade as Laney had and so far is excelling this year.

Every year on the first day of school I do a little chalk board art on the same yellow frame for both kids. Well let me tell you a story....this year I was not feeling chalk artsy, so instead I printed off these nice little grade printables and slapped them onto the frame with some scotch tape. I was hoping you wouldn't be able to tell in pictures. Well.... lol, it was for sure noticeable.

Caleb - who could not love that face!

Laney practicing for Picture Day at school. Just like her Uncle Jake

These two really love each other. One of their favorite things is to get to sleep in each others beds as a special treat. We don't let them on a school night because the giggling and talking would keep them u entirely too late on school nights. But on weekends I can't hardly deny them. they sure do make for adorable pictures all cuddled up together.

I pray every day for these precious kids of ours when they head off to school. It is our prayer that God will gift these kids with good influences, teachers, and keep them safe. Most of all I pray for them to m be a light shining brightly for HIm to all those around them.
