A while back my brother, Adam decided to start building a hunting cabin out on one of the pieces of land my Dad and brothers all hunt on.
It is just the neatest thing to me that they all built this themselves, out of cedar trees from that land. Adam spent the first year working on it mostly alone and figured out a system to stack the tree logs by himself. Which doesn't sound all that hard until you watch him do it. (And that he has one bum arm from a work accident years ago didn't make that any easier). But he is one determined individual and figured out a way. After watching Adam and Jake lift these logs together, I can't imagine how Adam does it on his own but he did!

The rainy weather last summer, along with Adam's other projects pretty well put the halt on the cabin progress last year. But progress has started back to work on the cabin again with all the brothers and Dad working to get it done. And work has progressed....quickly! Look at it now:

When they are completely done they hope to have some hunting trips in this primitive cabin. I am thinking we may have to take the kids and spend the night sometime and give it a try too! :)
Ummmm...wow. Just WOW. Here at the Murphy house, we struggle to get a lightbulb in just right. Really...I am just so super impressed. Adam's pretty much the man...again, wow...
