Aunt Ashby is in fact rocking at the whole aunt business. She invited the kids over last week for a fun night of making home made Christmas ornaments. When I told them, they were naturally ecstatic because in one sentence I mentioned 3 of their favorite things: Christmas, crafting, and Aunt Ashby!
We kicked the night off by giving Ashby a bag of ornaments from me and Kristina for their Christmas tree. The kids got to help pick out the ornaments we gave her and they were adorable!
Next Ashby broke out with a big hot glue gun that made my hot glue gun look like the little baby it was. Seriously her glue gun intimidated me - and yes it burned me too.
She had lots of crafting items ready for the kids so they could make ornaments. And that was all the kids needed. They jumped right in and took off crafting. It didn't take long for me and Uncle Jake to get caught up in the spirit and pretty soon all 5 of us were rocking our Martha Stewart wannabe skills.

While we crafted away we cranked up some Christmas music and feasted on Christmas candy. It was a great night and I am so glad my sweet sister-in-law thinks of these things to do with the kids!
