A New Year

The week of Christmas was absolutely chaotic, stressful and busy to the extreme. However, the week of New Year's was much more laid back with quiet a few mornings spent sleeping in, the kids having friends over, and kids going to spend the night with Aunt Jan and Uncle Derek and a New Year's Eve party spent with friends.

priceless!
when people stay up after midnight - well things can get weird :)

We also had our traditional cabbage, black eyed peas and hog's jowl for New Year's day. That a tradition Ricky carries out every year. And what's not to love? I don't have to cook, and he handles the whole meal! :)
Hope the new year will see us settle into our new house soon and get passed all these renovations. We are ready for life to return to some sort of "normal" and get focused on things other than this never ending move :)
