Our family seems to have a thing for the outdoors and this was a place we had both been wanting to go for awhile now, so we hooked up to the camper and headed East. We spent 2 full days outside, hiking trails, hunting water falls, paddleboating and just spending time together.

We ate most of our meals at the lodge and loved that. It wasn't too crowded and the food was great.
One of my favorite places was the top of Piney falls. It wasn't the easiest to get to, but was pretty secluded and we spent along time just walking around the falls. The rocks in the creek above the falls were pretty slick in places and for once I didn't fall, which is a miracle in itself! But, Ricky wasn't quiet so fortunate and ended up feet in the air and the rest of him in the water. He was a great sport tho and since it was a pretty warm day, he didn't mind :)
We drove on the day of our anniversary to an adorable little restaurant we had been told about by friends. We enjoyed an amazing meal and even more amazing falls and history sight seeing.
I have loved following this man along the trails of life these past 15 years and can't wait to see where the next years lead us!
